The print jobs stick in the queue. You must cancel the job from the queue in order for the next job to print. This problem does not occur under a 16-bit version of EASYLABEL.
We have duplicated this problem only when using the incorrect cable. Using an Apollo cable under a 16-bit version of EASYLABEL will work with a Prodigy Plus, but the same printer with the same cable will not work under EASYLABEL 32. This is because the two versions of EASYLABEL use different COM drivers. The 16-bit COM driver does not look at certain pins on the cable, the 32-bit COM driver does. Therefore, an incorrectly configured cable will work with 16-bit EASYLABEL but not EASYLABEL 32. This incorrect cable will also work with either a 16-bit version of EASYLABEL or EASYLABEL 32 under Windows NT because NT uses the 16-bit COM driver.
Ohm the cable out that is being used. If it does not match the Prodigy Plus cable configuration exactly, then obtain the correct cable. Refer to the 16-bit EASYLABEL User’s Manual or the online help in EASYLABEL 32 for the proper cable configuration.
