The user is printing to a Gemini through Easylabel and receiving erroneous error messages. A list of the error messages includes: Paper Out, Ribbon Out, and an amount of labels left to print greater than the amount requested.

We believe the problem is due to RF/EMI. When polling the printer incomplete information is being passed

Please try the following list to elimate the problem: 1.) Use the shortest cable you can. 2.) Use a shielded cable. 3.) Put the printer on a UPS that filters RF. Not all UPS units do this. 4.) If you are using multiple printers move them apart from each other. 5.) Move the printer(s) away from electrical equipment, battery chargers, and telephone equipment. 6.) Set ‘Direct Print’ to ‘No’ in Easylabel (only available in Windows 98). 7.) Ground the chassis of each printer as well as the CPU to a water pipe. 8.) Move the printer(s) away from the CPU. Place a piece of aluminum foil covered cardboard between the printer(s) and the CPU. If using multiple printers you can place a piece in between each printer. 9.) If downloading the data via serial remove the chassis ground from the cable. This is pin one.
