The following changes/additions have been made:

1. Database connect enhancements
Made changes to the database connection code to allow for connections to more database types. The identifier quoting characters are now queried from the database provider. This allows for more compatible SQL statements to be generated.

2. New languages added
Added Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese to the language selection.

3. Tharo H and V series enhancements
Added new symbology “China Post Code”. Fixed the “Excess Fonts” message when using many TrueType fonts on a label. Added option for printer passthrough and force fit. More reliable download to memory card. When a format is flagged for download, the user interface now restricts some options to show only features that work correctly when printed stand-alone.

4. Datamax driver changes
The driver for Datamax printers (both Standard and 2+) now send the pass through string (if one is specified) before any other commands are sent to the printer.

5. Date and Time formatting
The date and time formatting lists now show an “*” next to a format if that format is directly supported by the printer. This can be useful when designing a label to know that the chosen format will be done in the printer.

6. TRUEDATE and TRUETIME fields
Using a field name of TRUEDATE (for a date field) or TRUETIME for a time field will cause all date/time fields on the label to be sent as text and in separate batches. This can be useful when it is desired that date or time field reflect the actual date or time when the label was printed.

7. Novexx TrueType fonts
Fixed a bug in the processing of TrueType text fields that could sometimes cause a program crash. This was most likely to happen if the label was multi-up (2 or more across).

8. Choosing “Other Database System”
When the data source is “database” and the “Other Database System” was chosen, in some cases multiple windows popped up prompting for user-id and/or password or other connection information. This has been fixed.

9. TSC and TrueType fonts
Fixed a bug in the TSC driver for printers that don’t support downloading of TrueType fonts. Corrected a problem where the flash memory was not properly initialized. Also fixed problem when unused fonts were not deleted from printer memory, resulting in memory overflow errors.

10. Avery Dennison ALX92x series printers
Corrected the names of the ALX92x series printers. The old names were ALX924-4, ALX924-5, and ALX924-6. The correct names are ALX924, ALX925, and ALX926.
